Shaping the future of Air Traffic Management together

Last week, the iTEC Collaboration brought together experts, air traffic controllers and engineers from across our member ANSPs to take part on third operational evaluation exercise of iTEC SkyNex, the next-generation ATM system being developed to support the future of air navigation services.

The evaluation took place at Indra Group's facilities in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid, Spain), this activity forms part of the third iteration of the iTEC SkyNex Cycle 1 system. Over several days, more than 40 participants on-site and around 50 remote participants assessed how future SkyNex capabilities will support operational needs across the Collaboration in the coming years.

The exercise brought together experts from the eight iTEC ANSPs:

DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (Germany)
ENAIRE (Spain)
NATS (United Kingdom)
Avinor Air Navigation Services (Norway)
LVNL (The Netherlands)
NAV CANADA (Canada)
ORO NAVIGACIJA (Lithuania)
Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (Poland)

Through collaboration, innovation and the direct involvement of operational and technical experts, iTEC SkyNex is being designed to enhance efficiency, interoperability and capacity while meeting the evolving challenges of global air traffic management.

A big thank you to all controllers, engineers and experts whose expertise continues to drive the development of the next generation of ATM systems.
